To check if a microphone is set as the default audio device on your computer, you can follow these steps on Windows 10. The steps may vary slightly for different operating systems, but the general process remains similar:

Right-click on the Speaker Icon:

Look for the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom-right corner of your screen). Right-click on it.

Open Sound Settings:

From the context menu, select "Open Sound settings." This will open the Sound settings window.

Select the Input Device:

In the Sound settings, under the "Input" section, you will see a dropdown menu for selecting your input device (microphone). Check if your microphone is listed in this dropdown.

Set the Microphone as Default:

If your microphone is listed, click on it to select it. Below the dropdown menu, there should be an option to set it as the default device. Click on "Device properties" or a similar option and look for a setting to set it as the default device.

Check in Control Panel (Optional):

Alternatively, you can check the microphone settings in the Control Panel. Open the Control Panel, go to "Hardware and Sound," and then click on "Sound." In the "Recording" tab, you'll see a list of recording devices. Check if your microphone is set as the default device.

Check in Device Manager:

Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager." Look for your microphone under "Audio inputs and outputs" or "Sound, video and game controllers." If it's recognized without any warning symbols, it is likely set up correctly.

These steps are specific to Windows 10. If you are using a different operating system, the general approach involves navigating to sound settings and selecting the input (microphone) device. Always refer to the user manual for your specific operating system for accurate instructions.
